Halloween: "Off we go into the wild blue yonder . . "

Jimmy in the same flight suit, circa early 70's.

since this was my first halloween where i could walk, i wasn't about to let not feeling well keep me from enjoying halloween and all it's pageantry. i was supposed to wear a monkey suit, but i think i made it pretty clear i didn't particularly care for the big feet and banana on my head. i wanted something much cooler. well luckily my parents remembered the little orange suit in the closet. at first it might look a little silly, but it has a lot of meaning.

when my dad was 1, his dad, my grandpa, served in the air force in thailand during the vietnam war. well one of the things he sent back was a flight suit complete with all his squadron patches. pretty sweet. huh? i know it meant alot to grandpa for me to wear it plus i felt a little like maverick strutting around the neighborhood in my orange flight suit. babes dig pilots.

somewhere there's a picture of my dad wearing. i'll have to see if he can find it and get him to put it up here.

i had my dad photoshop me into a few random pictures of things my grandpa used to fly so you can get the full effect.

hope you all had a happy halloween!

"i feel the need, the need for speed!"

"Come on Goose, Viper is waiting!"

"you've lost that lovin' feeling . . ."
